Attitude of Gratitude This Thanksgiving

My thoughts right now are turned to loving unconditionally even when we hurt.  It is our job to forgive and forget so as not to carry a burden for the rest of our lives.  It is our job to teach our children that mistakes are okay and they are still loved.  How do we do this??? By example.  Children are sponges and learn through our speech, our actions, and our overall demeanor.  It is okay to be angry and upset, say it and move on.  As Thanksgiving draws near this year, I am grateful that I will be able to teach them my children how to prepare this fancy meal, that I will be able to sit at the table with my children and enjoy the feast, that we have an open door for anyone who may need a place to join.  There are no judgements in this household.  We welcome all and look past the differences and actions that we may not like.  Family is the most important thing and I am so grateful to be able to have my children around.

Helldorado Days Parade

Contacts, contacts, contacts....My dad, who raises & races homing pigeons with the Silver State Racing Pigeon Club, has a friend who is president of the Las Vegas Rail Road Society...anyways the pigeon club was invited to participate as a float in the Helldorado Days Parade with the Las Vegas Rail Road Society. Long story short Daniel, Aubree, & myself rode in the back of the truck pulling the pigeon trailer...we had a blast. Part of the awesome float done by Bruno Platzer & crew for the Las Vegas Rail Road Society.
Waiting for the parade to start :)

Mothers Day Weekend

The pictures are backwards, but you get the point anyways.
The Thursday before mothers day my AC went out so I flew my ever so handsome always on call handy husband home for a hot date :)
Saturday night we went to a Las Vegas 51's game and ended up leaving in the fifth inning because it was moving sooooo slowly! Sunday we spent the day as a family @ Mt. Charelston enjoying the cooler weather and the beautiful creations of the Lord.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Here we are the middle of March and life just gets more exciting everyday!
First things first....Happy Birthday Dave on the 22nd, since I know it will be a while before I post again.

Recently we went with Daniel to the Gilcrease Bird Sanctuary for a school field trip. There we got to hold, pet, & feed goats in a little petting farm. We saw white & green ostrich eggs as well as a lot of peacocks. It was a fun little field trip as they have been reading the Three Billy Goats Gruff, watching their caterpillars turn into butterflies, and learning about insects.
Aubree is so adorable as she is growing like a weed. She absolutely loves to interact with Daniel and of course has to be the center of attention. She says da-da, babbles, and shrieks blood curdling screams constantly. Who would have thought having a girl in the house could be so much fun :)
Dave recently moved to Spanish Fork which is a whole lot closer to work. He enjoys (if that's the right word) his job, but looks forward to every visit of the family whether in Vegas or Utah.
Judee keeps plugging along, longing for the day we can move the rest of the family to Utah. Life is full of lots of lemons and we are making our lemonade.

Blogging Break

This is just a short update....
I will not be blogging for awhile, at least until after Thanksgiving. There is some pretty heavy turmoil going on in our lives right now and if I blog I will share to the world what needs to be kept private. However, that does not mean my family is in the black hole of photography....please visit http://www.kleemeyertablefor2.blogspot.com/ to see updated photos.
Thanks for understanding!

First Day of Preschool

Today Daniel started half day preschool @ Gordon McCaw Elementary
He loves it :)
Believe it or not I actually became teary eyed as we dropped him off at the door and gave him kisses. Of course he was into the classroom without even a second thought of where mom and dad were. Although funny side note....He was at the door waiting to be picked up while all the rest of the kiddos were patiently waiting on the rug. When I asked him about it he said he had told Ms. Lynn (teacher) he couldn't take it anymore - meaning he was ready to go home.
