Thoughts of The Year in Passing & Anticipations for The Year to Come

Looking back on the year we have definitely been blessed in so many ways.
Looking at the Christmas pictures we don't have our heat on (just being stubborn about paying the power bill)/ Enjoyed spending it with family from Arizona, Utah, & of course the locals
Thanksgiving we were able to spend with family not often seen in Missouri.
Changes & adaptations in our employment have truely allowed more family time.
For Judee one year free of medicine & intestinal issues :)

What do we have to look forward to in the upcoming year.....
1st - arrival of baby #2 in late July
2nd - Daniel will go to half day preschool in the fall
3rd - Five eternal years and amazingly we are still married
4th - We will be debt free minus our house & 1 vehicle in the 1st qtr of the year
5th - addition of another brother-in-law in April

Day 7 - Union Station

We spent the day @ Union Station which is an awesome field trip area. Inside there is a place called Science city which is a hands on learning play area. A tiny glimpse of the train display on the main floor
Daniel operating a train in Science City
Daniel & Dave coming out of a slippery slide made of plumbing pipes in Science City
Are we having fun yet?

Day 6 - Thanksgiving

This is the one and only picture I took on Thanksgiving - Kevin was feeding Gabriel cranberry sprite thanks to uncle Dave and Aunt Judee.

Day 5 - Harley Davidson

One of our (okay Dave's) passions is motorcycles. How convenient that there is a Harley Davidson factory right there in Kansas City. Daniel has already developed a passion of his own.

Day 4 - St. Joseph

Today we spent the day in St. Joseph, Missouri which is about 30 min. north of Kansas City. As you drive into the city it appears very run down & deteriorated. However, St. Joseph is home to over 33 historical museums which is a lot of history that we could not even fit into one day. Here is our very brief synopsis. Firehouse #5 - The fence is made of fire hydrants & hoses.
Outside the Pony Express
Very fascinating to see original restored guns.
We received a personal private tour at the military museum. The gentleman gave us a behind the scenes tour of some of the military machinery that is on permanent loan from the army.

Day 3 - Crown Center

Crown Center is in downtown Kansas City and as you can see from the pictures this fun little area had wooden toys large enough for the biggest of kids!

Day 1 - Beautiful Leaves

When we arrived the weather was gorgeous and the falling leaves amazing.

Captain Daniel

For Thanksgiving our family flew to Kansas City, Missouri to spend time with Dave's sister Jolin & her family. This was Daniel's first plane ride. Since we were an originating flight out of Las Vegas Captain Curt (pilot) let Daniel come down into the cock pit and explore to his hearts content!
