Attitude of Gratitude This Thanksgiving
My thoughts right now are turned to loving unconditionally even when we hurt. It is our job to forgive and forget so as not to carry a burden for the rest of our lives. It is our job to teach our children that mistakes are okay and they are still loved. How do we do this??? By example. Children are sponges and learn through our speech, our actions, and our overall demeanor. It is okay to be angry and upset, say it and move on. As Thanksgiving draws near this year, I am grateful that I will be able to teach them my children how to prepare this fancy meal, that I will be able to sit at the table with my children and enjoy the feast, that we have an open door for anyone who may need a place to join. There are no judgements in this household. We welcome all and look past the differences and actions that we may not like. Family is the most important thing and I am so grateful to be able to have my children around.
