Blogging Break
This is just a short update....
I will not be blogging for awhile, at least until after Thanksgiving. There is some pretty heavy turmoil going on in our lives right now and if I blog I will share to the world what needs to be kept private. However, that does not mean my family is in the black hole of photography....please visit http://www.kleemeyertablefor2.blogspot.com/ to see updated photos.
Thanks for understanding!

First Day of Preschool
He loves it :)
Believe it or not I actually became teary eyed as we dropped him off at the door and gave him kisses. Of course he was into the classroom without even a second thought of where mom and dad were. Although funny side note....He was at the door waiting to be picked up while all the rest of the kiddos were patiently waiting on the rug. When I asked him about it he said he had told Ms. Lynn (teacher) he couldn't take it anymore - meaning he was ready to go home.

Still Pregnant.....
Saw the doctor yesterday and much to everyone's dismay I'm still pregnant.
We are having lots and lots of extremely uncomfortable contractions, but those too are just annoying and not even helping to progress. I am still just dialated to a one. For those of you who have been tracking since the beginning they have given me (changed) my due date once and for all. As of Saturday (07/26/08) I will be officially overdue :)
If by next Wednesday, these wonderful, not close enough together contractions, have not pushed me over the edge......my doctor will induce at 7:30pm. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Daniel is really excited to welcome his new sister. Everytime I say I am going to the doctor he tells me to tell the doctor that it is time she came home. When I told him the doctor said one more week - when asked when Boomshacalaca was coming home he proceeded to tell everyone that the doctor said a few more years. I guess he really does want mommy to bring home a baby elephant!

Baby Update
Saw the doctor yesterday and here are the stats...
We are still pregnant :)
We are dialated to a 1, but could walk around for at least another two weeks with little to no prgression. (However, I didn't dialate with Daniel until after they induced me....so there is hope)
We are 70% efaced
We are having lots of contractions, but nothing exciting enough to go to the hospital or at least not yet.
Baby weighs approximately 7lbs and the doctor says she has the potential to gain at least another pound or two before she arrives... (I guess Dave and I only know how to create big babies)
My thoughts....it's hot, it's hot, it's hot and the baby knows it so she is okay staying in the womb as long as she can where it is the perfect temperature!

Fathers
Fathers are so special........
My daddy is my hero
He always knows just what to do and say
Thanks for all the memories
and being you no matter what!
Dave is a wonderful dad and husband!
I spent a quiet morning looking back at our short life together! Some of my favorite things I want to mention...
1- Not afraid to get his hands dirty to get the job done
2- Compassionate & loving no matter the undaunting medical task @hand
3- Knowledgeable with random facts that come in handy at the most odd times
4- Awesome Chef
5- Great father/ teacher to Daniel
I know the list is short, but I can't let all my secrets out of the bag. I love him and know that he completes me in every way. Where I fall short, he stands firm....I love him, I love him, I love him - and never regret the day we married for time & all eternity!

Happy 22nd Birthday Jereelyn
For Jereelyn's 22nd birthday my mom & dad had a surprise swim party/BBQ at their house. Here are just a few pics to remember the fun that we had...notice the new slide my parents put in by their pool. Everyone says it is a big hit, I will have to give my opinion after the baby is here!

Justice or Not
I just wanted to share my thoughts now that the insurance company has made their preliminary decision on the accident over the weekend - and found me at fault!
Is this really how our justice system works???
1- Apparently it is okay to leave the scene of an accident and then return before the ticketing officer(s) arrive. So if you want to change drivers or if someone has something to hide from the law, leave and come back it is perfectly okay....about 90% of accidents happen this way (statistic from the insurance adjuster)
2- If the officers don't feel like measuring skid marks for speed, then it doesn't really matter wether you are speeding because you won't be ticketed. Speed has to be determined by a radar gun or measurement of skid marks - otherwise it is all just the opinion of those around.
3- It is my understanding that only people who make turns have to yield and be aware of all the other cars on the road. Whether you are coming over a blind hill, speeding, or changing lanes you apparently have right of way and don't have to yeild to other cars on the road and be a defensive driver.
4- Policemen are policemen are policemen...don't be mislead that there is a division and certain officers cannot handle the accident. If an officer tells you to move your vehicle make sure that they are the ticketing officer or take pictures of the scene before you move your car, otherwise you have now changed evidence and facts cannot always be determined without seeing the outcome or a picture of the outcome.
All in all there is not much I can do about the situation unless something happens to the baby, at which point my attorney can file a claim. Otherwise the law is the law no matter how unjust it seems to be!

The Cherry on Top
When it rains it pours and I am really hoping that this is the last "trial" for a little while. For those who don't know here is the scoop.
We went for a drive to check out some properties that Dave will be maintaining for work. While we were out we were in a lovely car accident that started as a hit & run. I will say that other than starting contractions 7 minutes apart we all walked away without a scratch and the above is the total damage to the car. The other vehicle didn't fair so well....leaking fluid and the bumper is being held on by just a thread. Anyways, they hit us yet Judee was cited. Don't ask, we don't understand we just know that we will be fighting it in court!
After a long restless night Judee and the baby are fine so we think and she will follow up with her doctor this week.

Beginning the Holiday
To start our holiday weekend we took a picnic to Spring Mountain Ranch on Saturday and enjoyed the much much cooler weather along with the beauty of the outdoors. The rain we have been loving stopped just long enough for us to eat our lunch and take a short 45min hike or so around the property.

Sugar is on the left & Roxy is on the right!
Although they are not biological sisters, they definitely act like it.

Meet Sugar our newest addition & playmate for Daniel!
Daniel has been so upset about having to leave Roxy with his cousins for awhile that yesterday we went to one of the local animal shelters and adopted another chocolate lab. She is about 6-9 months older than Roxy, but has the same gentle temperment. As soon as we go and retrieve Roxy (a couple of weeks) we will post pictures of the two together. To see updated pictures of Roxy please visit http://ourmiraclefamily.blogspot.com/
